Tamper-Proof Ledger
Crypto is complex.
We make it simple.
A list of transactions that may consist of payments or transfers of an asset.
By definition, a blockchain is a fundamentally tamper-proof ledger. Once a transaction is confirmed and entered on the ledger, the entry cannot be modified without detection. Additionally, any alteration or omission of any transaction will alter the entire ledger. Therefore, tamper-proof ledgers such as blockchains enable network participants to audit one another in a decentralized manner.
